Professor Richard English, Wardlaw Professor of Politics in the School of International Relations, and Director of the Handa Centre for the Study of Terrorism and Political Violence (CSTPV), at the University of St. Andrews, will be giving a presentation on behalf of Chenega International Consulting at ISS World Europe at the Clarion Congress Hotel in Prague, CZ on Thursday June 9th at 10:30 a.m. Dr. English’s presentation is titled Paris and Brussels: Lessons Learned and the Challenges for Industry.
Dr. English, born in Belfast, has authored 8 books, including award-winning studies:
Armed Struggle: The History of the IRA (2003)
Irish Freedom: The History of Nationalism in Ireland (2006)
His most recent book, Does Terrorism Work? A History, was just published by Oxford University Press. Professor English is also co-editor/editor of a further 6 books and has published more than 50 articles and book chapters. He is a frequent media commentator on terrorism, political violence and Irish politics and history for media companies such as BBC, CNN, ITN, SKY NEWS, NPR, RTE, the Irish Times, the Times Literary Supplement, Newsweek, the Guardian, and the Financial Times.
